In November, Michael Marchese (President), Kenneth Krautheim (National Sales Manager) and William Waterson (RSO/NDT manager/RT LIII) attended ASNT 2022: The Annual Conference, the largest event for the nondestructive testing (NDT) industry in Nashville, Tennessee.

ASNT 2022 brought together more than 2,500 NDT professionals from 89 countries, representing all sectors and disciplines of NDT. The conference featured a comprehensive program of technical sessions, keynote speakers, panel discussions, and workshops, covering a wide range of topics and issues related to NDT. Some of the themes that caught our attention were:

  • The impact of COVID-19 on the industry and ways to adapt and recover from the crisis.
  • Advances and innovations in NDT methods, techniques, equipment, and software.
  • Best practices and standards for NDT quality, safety, and ethics.
  • The challenges and opportunities for NDT education, training, certification, and career development.
  • The role of NDT in addressing global issues such as sustainability, energy, environment, and security.

ASNT 2022 offered a vibrant exhibit hall with over 225 exhibitors, showcasing the best in NDT products and services. We had the opportunity to see, touch, and test some of the latest and most advanced NDT equipment and software, and to compare and evaluate different options and features. I also met with some of the leading NDT suppliers and vendors and learned about their offerings and capabilities. We were able to explore some potential partnerships and collaborations.

One of the most rewarding aspects of attending ASNT 2022 was the networking and socializing with my peers and colleagues from the NDT community. We enjoyed meeting and interacting with people from different backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives, and sharing our experiences, challenges, and successes.

We would highly recommend the show to anyone who is involved in NDT. Kudos to the organizers, sponsors, speakers, exhibitors, and attendees of ASNT 2022 for making it a memorable and valuable experience.
